Thank You for a Successful Community Gathering!
On November 9, 2024 the Hayti Reborn Community Advocacy Council hosted a truly impactful gathering at the historic Old W. G. Pearson School, bringing together community members and stakeholders to discuss revitalization efforts in Hayti and along the Fayetteville Street Corridor. With community members in attendance, the session highlighted exciting updates on:
• The Hayti Reborn initiative’s progress
• Durham County’s Energy Future Grant
• Findings from the Reimagine Durham Freeway Study
Together, we shared insights, ideas, and a renewed commitment to honoring Hayti’s legacy while building a vibrant, sustainable future. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the dialogue! Your presence and input are vital in restoring and reimagining our historic district with the respect and beauty it deserves.
